Marysue Brannan to Beverlee Harbour Gopp March 18 at 9:22pm · Hey Bev! Just got to tell you that I have a little tub of your Be Protected balm here with me in the lower Amazonian Basin in Peru and it is flat-out amazing! For almost 15 years Jim and I lived with Deet whenever going out to protect us from the swarms of bitey bugs that are so prolific in this remote South American area--which also happens to be the most bio-diversified place in the whole world. (Meaning it also had more bugs per square inch that any other place.) 100% Deet wears off after 4 hours and you can actually set your watch by it...4 hours. It also melts that plastic watchband onto skin, and flipflops, too. Your balm works until its washed off and I've worn it everyday with no skin problems!!! I don't even have to cover every millimeter of exposed skin; just ankles, knees, elbows and wrists. I'm going deeper into the jungle next week and will let you know how it does there. It has been such a relief to not get the snot bit out of me this trip. You've got a great product! This repellent was great in the small jungle town I stayed in for 3 weeks. When I went deeper and stayed outside of town it worked as well as deet, but didn't melt any plastic"
